This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

One further piece of news is the lift to the eastbound Circle and District Line platform at Victoria Underground Station is now in service meaning all platforms of Victoria Underground Station are now step free .

The test train that brought the overhead wires down for 500meters probably would of had some problems with the pantograph which I think the pantograph must of clipped something that caused the overhead wires to come down. Causing widespread delays and cancellations to most services in & out of London Paddington.

Also will GTR Thameslink start operating to Ashford International in December this year. When the December timetable is to be introduced. Which hopefully won’t cause any more delays just like what happened back in May when the timetable was first introduced on most rail networks in the UK. Which caused lots of cancellations and disruptions to services on GTR Thameslink & Southern and on other rail operators.
