In the early 20th century several important artists who studied at the Slade School of art lived and / or socialised in Hampstead. We will take a detailed walk in the footsteps of the Slade School artists such as Mark Gertler, Stanley Spencer and R.W. Nevinson who socialised in Downshire Hill with the artistic Carline family.
