Used to be called “Red Star” didn’t it?
Deliberately killed off by a previous tory guvmint, IIRC.
Oh, the irony!
You recall incorrectly.
Red Star Parcels was a parcels service that badly managed by the railway and later largely emerged as the now-bankrupt City Link. Night Star was the loss-making railway parcels company sold by the government in 1995, and now, part of UPS.
It was not deliberately killed off by anyone, other than the railway management themselves through their own incompetence.
