RAF Northolt is 100 years old, and will be hosting a centenary open day on 13th June, with a flying display, static aircraft, stalls and many other activities and demonstrations.

This is a rare opportunity to get a closer look at this extremely busy and important RAF station on the outskirts of London.

Event Programme

  • 30 static and display aircraft
  • 8 flying aircraft
  • Various stands, exhibits and stallholders
  • RAF Police Dog-Show
  • Drill display from Queen’s Colour Squadron RAF Regiment
  • Demonstration 621 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squadron
  • RAF Falcons parachuting display

I mentioned the anniversary earlier this year, and tickets sold out — but they have now released some more tickets.

The closest tube station is Ruislip Gardens, on the Central Line. The open day takes place on Saturday 13 June from 11am to 5pm.

Tickets cost £11.95 — book here

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you
