One for fans of dressing up and shouting at the cinema screen, as the Royal Albert Hall glams up for a night of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

For the film’s 40th anniversary, there will be a screening in the hall, along with a Q&A with cast from the film, plus the winning dance group from September’s TimeWarp Dance Festival at the Blackpool Winter Gardens will perform their winning dance routine before and during the screening.

As the hall’s website dryly notes…

We understand the RHPS experience can be a lively one and we’re keen for audience members to fully enjoy themselves, however the Royal Albert Hall is a Grade I listed building, so we ask that fans show respect to the venue when indulging in the film’s unique traditions!

This festival of transvestite aliens takes place on the 27th October.

On another note, will event websites stop hiding ticket prices and make it possible to see at on the main page promoting the event that tickets to this event range from £7.60 to £38.20. Thank you.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.
