Fancy a gentle cycle ride around London dressed in vastly more sensible clothing than the overly revealing attire of the regular chap?

Then utter a huzzah, as tickets to the quickly-selling out and delightful annual Tweed Run are to be released tomorrow (Fri) at lunchtime.

The Tweed Run takes in some of London’s finest landmarks, making stops along the way for a spot of tea in a fine square, a picnic break in the park, and ending up at a beautiful Art Deco ballroom for a drink and a bit of a knees up.

Tickets to the Tweed Run will be £25, which includes a £5 donation to the London Cycling Campaign.

This year there is also the Tweed Run Brunch, hosted by Pol Roger Champagne, for an extra £25. You can also reserve a Gourmet Hamper for the Picnic Break; each hamper serves two, and costs £30 (you can also, of course, pack your own picnic for the day). You can see the full menu for both of these options here.

Tickets for the event and the optional extras go on sale on Friday 30 January at 12:00 noon, via www.tweedrun.com/tickets.

They’ve added extra spaces this year, but (as usual) expect tickets to sell out very quickly.

My review from 2010 is here.

Good luck!

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you

I work in London, so if I want to see hordes of gormless plonkers in flat caps riding stupid bicycles, I can step outside the office for five minutes 🙁
