Some sort of computer game is being released based in Victorian London that features some pretty stunning images of the city, and the London Underground stations.

I am not much of a computer gamer, in the modern console sense of the word, but the imagery used in this game sent goosebumps down the spine.

In fact, as a bit of a Manga fan, I wouldn’t mind watching a film set in this sort of scenery.

The official website has a background, which is artwork of what the London Underground might look like in the game. Close inspection can show the name of the station as Paddington.

There is an also quite stunning vista of London with Zeppelins hovering over Westminster that is actual computer graphics.

Steampunk, London, Tube Stations… it could almost make me buy a games console.

The Order 1886 is due out later this year. Much later.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.
