A note about an event that needs booking tickets for as the British Library is hosting a special preview screening of the first episode of series 3 of the TV series, The Tudors.
This season sees Henry VIII increasingly in conflict with the Catholic Church and embarking on marriages with Jane Seymour and Anne of Cleves.
Followed by a discussion with the creator and writer of the series, Michael Hirst.
It is also totally free.
Tickets limited to four per booker – book via the British Library website.
It’s one of those programs that seems to be a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it – although I know a few people who are more interested in the unrealistically good looking princes going about in very fetching (and revealing) clothing.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed myself looking at top totty in Tudor costume. I didnt enjoy the talk with Michael Hirst, who is a very dreary speaker, and who obviously doesnt respond very well to criticism from those who know what they are talking about.
Did anyone see the man with the horrendous white wig that made him look like he had a lamb sitting on his head?
