The Lloyds Building in the City has been a long favourite for photographers, but thanks to the narrow streets in the City, it is difficult to get any general photos of the building from a distance.

Until now!

Thanks to the demolition of a nearby building, it is currently possible to get some good wide-angle shots of the building from a decent distance.

Difficult to get a clean shot due to building apparatus etc trying to block the views, but maybe worth a visit (and the inevitable Gherkin is nearby).

Despite commenting on how difficult it is to get wide-view photos, I am quite pleased with the below photo I took just over a year ago, of the building reflected in its new neighbour, the Willis Building.

the willis photo is a lovely image–even if it does give a bit of vertigo from the movement

You also get good views of surrounding buildings at the moment from there.
