A day in Bradford?

Events and Tours

Well, maybe not Bradford itself, but there are two rather impressive brick viaducts on the edges of the city, and I suspect I might be booking a day trip up to the city in the summer with my bike and touring the area. It seems to be about 3 hours from London, so a there/back in one day is just about manageable.

A list of other viaducts worth visiting on the Yep Sport blog.

I quite like viaducts, although the only decent one in London seems to be the one by Mill Hill East tube station – the Dollis Brook Viaduct.

Wharncliffe viaduct in Southall is not bad – a Brunel, no less.

There’s also a nice short viaduct carrying the Central Line over the NR line at Greenford.
