Listening to Ken Livingstone on the news this morning talking about the long-delayed agreement to build the £16 billion (US$31 billion) CrossRail project, he was talking about how it was esential to keep London as a major financial center in the face of growing competition from emerging markets.
The then named three of them: Shanghai; Mumbai and Dubai.
Made me wonder if it wouldn’t be better to rename the City as Lonbai to ensure we keep up?
